5G iPod nano cases announced
|
 Proporta jumps gun on new Apple iPods The first 5G iPod nano accessories have been announced, ahead of the new Apple products expected release next week.
iPod and iPhone accessory maker Proporta states that the new Apple 5G iPod nano "looks set to be a typically beautiful new product from the Apple stable, building on the already impressive 4G nano by adding a camera and improving the size of the screen".
Proporta has announced a series of custom protective cases "specially made" for "this sexy little number".
The cases include new versions of the handmade signature Aluminium Lined Leather Case that features a sheet of lightweight, aircraft grade aluminium to guard against crushing and screen damage, the Ted Baker Leather Case, and the Compact Mirror iPod Case, which features an internal mirror.
At the end of last month Apple officially announced a music-themed event to be held on Wednesday 9 September 2009.
The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, California, starting at 10am Pacific Time.
The event invitation comes with the words "It's only rock and roll, but we like it," no doubt inspired by the lead single from The Rolling Stones 1974 album "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll".
September, is traditionally the month Apple introduces new iPods, in time for the all important holiday season. Over the weekend reports suggested supplies of iPods in stores being run down in preparation for new models being announced.
