Aimee Mann's First Annual Christmas Show and WOXY's Holiday Themed Radio Mix Streaming at lala.com
Lala.com today announced its "iPod & ZEN Giveaway" contest, which rewards listeners for tuning into truly independent radio available at lala.com . Listening is free and requires no software. Every day through December 29th, 2006, lala.com will give three lucky music lovers a free iPod shuffle or Creative ZEN V -- just for listening.
From Indie to Industrial, Freak-Folk to Funk, Rock to Reggae, Emo to Electronica, Oldies to Ole Skool, Jazz to Jam, Country to Christmas, there's an independent radio station playing something for everyone at lala.com. Each station has been created by other listeners and music fans -- a brigade of "Citizen DJs" enabled by a free DJ service at lala.com .

How to Win

Celebrate the Holidays with Aimee Mann!
In the spirit of the season, on Wednesday, 12/13 at 3:00 pm EST /12:00 pm PST, WOXY.com will air Aimee Mann's First Annual Christmas Show recorded live from Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco. Aimee and her band performed a host of holiday themed songs including originals like: "Calling on Mary," and classics such as: "Winter Wonderland" and "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch." Tune in and hear special guests join Aimee including: actor, John C. Reilly and comedian, Paul F. Tompkins.
After the completion of the initial broadcast on WOXY.com , the show will be streaming for free through the end of 2006 at http://www.lala.com .
Rock the Halls
Lala.com and WOXY.com also unveiled today a holiday themed radio station. This unique "Holiday Mixer" is filled with vintage renditions of seasonal favorites by modern rockers from around the globe, many of the tracks selected are out-of-print or hard to find. The station features festive music from a host of artists including: Sufjan Stevens, Calexico, Over The Rhine, Beck, and The Teenage Prayers. Irreverent selections from "A John Waters Christmas"
and Spinal Tap are balanced with classic tracks from Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and James Brown among others.
