iPhone Live Disassembly

iphone disassemblyThe iPhone disassembly goes live on iFixit.com.
Everything you may want to know about iPhone inside is here, along with pictures that discover an ARM processor and a Samsung one too.

iFixit.com has a tradition in disassembling Apple products just a few days, if not hours, since they hit the market.
This time iFixit guys hit a record with a live disassembly with spare parts analysis.

Once removed case and all components covering motherboard (like the 3.7 V Li-Ion plymer battery) we get to iPhone heart.
iFixit discovered that the motherboard is 2-layered and it took some deep-thinking to understand how to separate them.

Once done, here comes CPU, an unidentified ARM chip named 339S0030, and a Samsung K9HBG08U1M processor (that may be in charge for multimedia support).
Last we get to a power amplifier SKY77340, made by Skyworks, which happens to be the same component used by some LG phones best-sellers such as LG Chocolate.
